Our beer garden with its idyllic location under the shade of chestnut trees, directly beside the quietly flowing “Würm”, is a must for aficionados of Munich’s authentic beer garden tradition.
Here you can relax and enjoy the famous Bavarian hospitality while your children keep themselves occupied in the lovely big playground. Of course there should be no shortage of fine Bavarian beer. Enjoy a nice cold, freshly tapped Augustiner from the oldest brewery in the city, Augustiner Bräu München. On warm days between April and October our authentic Bavarian beer garden culture attracts as many as 600 Munich residents and city visitors to the Insel Mühle. In keeping with tradition, you are welcome to bring your own food with you, but be prepared for the temptations of our beer garden kitchen with its typical selection of hearty snacks and juicy specialties from the grill.
